Ever damage your iPhone while traveling? Good news: starting Friday, you can get it fixed internationally.

According to a leaked document, AppleCare+ users can get their iPhones repaired or replaced while traveling internationally, beginning Friday, September 27.

It’s not available in all countries for all models of iPhone, but as others have said, it’s a start along the right path for when you’re stranded in another country without your phone.

Previously, phones purchased in one country had to have been repaired or replaced in that same country. However, according to Engadget, this may have changed because of the expansion of AppleCare+ in Europe.

I’ve never had to replace a phone while traveling internationally, but I have while traveling domestically, and I can say without a doubt that it’s uncomfortable being without a phone in general – let alone while away from home.

That said, you could also buy a cheap phone at a convenience store with cheap minutes and it would be…cheaper.
